“Age is never a factor when there is an eagerness to learn” and George Desjardins is a terrific example of pursuing knowledge and becoming more aware of the planning and landscape architecture professions.

While in his junior year of High School, George joined Lucido & Associates as an intern in the summer of 2023, returned to continue his internship this following summer and was selected from among his peers to participate in the University of Miami Summer Scholars program with a Concentration in Urban & Landscape Architecture.

Now, as he completes his Senior year, he continues to learn and gain practical experience in the profession as he prepares for his next step in his pursuits.

“I have been an Intern at Lucido & Associates, and this helped me achieve being accepted into the University of Miami Summer Scholars program with a concentration in Urban & Landscape Architecture. Having been a student in the program for three weeks and earning six college credits has been even a more rewarding experience than I would have guessed. The program made me a better designer in just a short three weeks, when normally it takes college students 2 years to learn. My real world experience provided by Lucido & Associates made me top of my class.“
